Knitting with balls

As you may have spotted by now, I’m actually a metalsmith and jeweller by trade.  My knitting and character design is a bit of a hobby really  . . . . that said  . . . this is my latest bit of metalwork – I suspect that these two strands are beginning to converge . . .

The little man is similar to my Nigel my Time Traveller who featured in last years BVA Open Studios Group Show – although this little man is made in a slightly different way – he has a knitted wire jumper (and socks) and is indeed knitting with wire. I need a name for him (polite suggestions please).   The dog – modelled on my lovely Dennis is wrapped wire then enamelled. so far too much fun being had in my studio!
